How your story is stored and processed.Effective: July 28, 20261. Service and operator
Unus Liber is an AI-assisted writing service operated by AIOD. We process the memories, story settings, and manuscript content you provide only as needed to ask questions, organize and assist your writing, and save your projects.
2. Information we process
- User content: story prompts, interview answers, characters, plots, manuscripts, and revision instructions.
- Pseudonymous identifier: a random UUID created in the browser and a server-side hash used to find projects from the same device without requiring an account.
- Service records: generation task, model, token counts, processing time, errors, and saved revision information.
- On-device settings: font, text size, autosave preference, and a local working copy.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to save and restore projects, conduct AI interviews, assist writing and chapter editing, diagnose reliability issues, and respond to support requests. We do not use it for personalized advertising, third-party ad tracking, or publication without your action.
4. Service providers
- Anthropic: receives the manuscript context and instructions required to generate an AI response when selected by our operating configuration.
- OpenAI: may receive required content when selected or enabled as a recovery provider. API storage is disabled in our request configuration.
- Supabase: stores project content, pseudonymous identifiers, and revisions.
- Cloud hosting provider: provides the web application, API hosting, and operational logs.
Each provider processes information only to deliver its service. We will update this policy if providers or processing practices materially change.
5. Retention and deletion
Local copies may remain until you reset a project or remove the app's data. Server-saved projects remain until you delete them from My Library or request deletion. We may retain minimal records when required by law or necessary to resolve a security dispute, and only for that purpose.
6. Your choices and rights
You can view and edit writing in the studio and delete a project from My Library. For additional access or correction requests, contact us with the minimum information needed to identify your project, such as its title and device.
7. Children and sensitive information
Unus Liber is not designed for children under 13 in the United States. Please do not enter sensitive information that is unnecessary for writing, such as Social Security numbers, financial credentials, or medical records.
8. Changes
If our purposes, providers, or retention practices change materially, we will provide notice in the service or on this page before the change takes effect.
